PROJECT SCOPE:
This project made roadway improvements to Old SR 74 between Olive Branch-Stonelick Road and Armstrong Boulevard. The total project length was approximately 0.7 miles. The project included the widening of Old SR 74 to include a center turn lane, increased shoulder width, new curb and gutter drainage and pedestrian access. Signal upgrades and improvements at the Olive Branch-Stonelick and Amelia-Olive Branch intersections were also made.

COMMUNITY BENEFIT:
The Old SR 74 Widening Project improved the safety, geometry and access along this section of the Old SR 74 corridor. It supports the recently completed Old SR 74 extension to College Drive, and it will better accommodate expected traffic conditions along this well-traveled corridor.
