Branch Hill Guinea Pike reopens to two-way traffic

CIN

The Clermont County Engineer’s Office has reopened all lanes of traffic on Branch Hill Guinea Pike.

The street was previously closed from Glen Echo Lane to state Route 28 so that road crews could work on a safety improvement project that features wider travel lanes, a new center turn lane and improved pedestrian access with a sidewalk along the east side of the road.

“The improvements on Branch Hill Guinea Pike are an important piece of our work this summer in Clermont County to upgrade the infrastructure throughout the area,” Clermont County Engineer Pat Manger said. “The Engineer’s Office works very closely with the Clermont County Transportation Improvement District to develop and implement projects that will provide the infrastructure to support economic development in the county. The improvements on Branch Hill Guinea Pike are part of a coordinated regional plan to address the travel needs for local business and retail properties, as well as the large number of residential homeowners in this area.”

Manger noted that a few minor paving and landscaping improvements still need to be made, but the project should be fully-completed within the next month, which will ensure that the project is delivered on time and on budget.
